The Mind-Body Approach
Everyone gets here differently. Everyone heals differently, too.
There’s no single script for what you’re going through — whether that’s ADHD, illness, burnout, anxiety, or just the sense that something in your life needs to shift. So there’s no single script for how we work together, either.
My approach starts with a simple belief: you are the expert on your own experience. My job isn’t to hand you a plan. It’s to sit with you through the discovery — to help you find, test, and refine what actually works for your mind and body, not some generalized version of a person.
Why we experiment instead of prescribe
Here’s the problem I see most often: people get stuck doing the same handful of things — the same coping strategies, the same advice, the same routines — even when those things clearly aren’t working anymore. It’s not because they’re not trying. It’s because no one ever showed them there are other tools.
So instead of handing you one method and hoping it sticks, we try a range of evidence-based mind-body practices together — things like breathwork, guided imagery, movement, biofeedback, self-expression, and awareness practices. Some will land immediately. Some won’t be for you, and that’s useful information too. Over time, this experimentation becomes the foundation you build your own plan on — one that’s actually yours, because you’re the one who found it.
My training and how I work
I’m certified in the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) model, a well-established, evidence-based approach originally developed for groups working through stress, trauma, and chronic illness. I’ve adapted that same framework for one-on-one work, so you get the depth and structure of the CMBM system with the individual attention of a personalized session.
In practice, this means our time together is experiential, not just conversational. We practice. We notice what happens in your body. We talk about it. We adjust. Slowly, these individual tools start to connect into something bigger.
The real goal: a lifestyle, not a technique
Any single skill — a breathing exercise, a grounding practice — is just a tool. The real goal is what happens when those tools become a lifestyle: an ongoing relationship with your own awareness, paired with the ability to actually act on what you notice.
That’s the shift I’m here to support. Not just teaching you a technique for a hard moment, but helping you build a way of living where awareness and action move together, day after day.
Where to start
You don’t need to know which tools will work for you before we begin — that’s what our time together is for. All you need is a willingness to try something different.
